Bradite Floor-It on the Menu
Story
Bradite’s versatile, high-performance floor coating, Floor-It, rose to a number of challenges encountered by Norwich-based JB Decorating Services on bars and restaurant projects across the country.
Floor-It is a low odour acrylic paint suited to medium traffic areas. It provides an extremely durable surface which is mark, stain and petrol resistant. Its quick drying abilities – touch dry in just 30 minutes and re-coatable after an hour – mean it is highly recommended for business or commercial use, where speed of completion is a major consideration.
“We were after a floor paint that was quick-drying and hard wearing.” Said Jake Bygrave from JB Decorating Services. His regular supplier, Brewers’ South Norwich branch, recommended the Floor-It product.
“I was very impressed with it. The application was fantastic.” says Jake, who decorated the floors of three bars in London, Plymouth and York, each with different substrates.
One floor was a non-porous concrete floor and another had been previously painted. As a versatile floor paint suitable for a range of internal or external surfaces, Floor-It was the ideal topcoat for a smooth, durable finish. The third premises had a floor newly fitted with plyboard, and here Bradite One Can was used as a strengthening primer.
Making use of the range of products available from Bradite has ensured a first-rate finish for three demanding jobs. Jake’s verdict? “Brilliant!”

Stelrad Launches Compact 900mm High Radiators
Story
As part of its programme of providing radiators to operate well with renewable heating systems – powered by air source and ground source heat pumps – Stelrad has announced that it will be launching a range of 900mm high radiators in a variety of widths in quarter 2 2023.
Head of Marketing Chris Harvey said: “There is a clear need for larger size radiators to cope with the lower circulating system temperatures generated by renewable heating systems and we are making sure our installer and specifier customers have access to the full range of options they will need in the months ahead.
“The transition from fossil fuelled, boiler driven systems to heat pump driven renewable systems is well underway and we’re making sure that installers and specifiers realise fully that radiators are ‘fit for the future’ and more than capable of providing the necessary heat around the home – radiators need to be sized properly as always to provide sufficient heating capacity and insulation needs to be evaluated to ensure its adequate to ensure the heat in the home does not escape to atmosphere.”
Head for www.stelrad.com for all the advice you need to decide on the right radiators for your installations and heating system designs.

Finding the right solution
One of Lignacite’s goals when redeveloping the site was to demonstrate the versatility of its products. Thanks to the site’s innovative new Block Application Locator tool, this is clearer than ever. After choosing from four building types (residential, commercial, leisure and stadia), users are able to move through a range of interactive 3D illustrations to pinpoint where Lignacite’s products are best used, from beam and block floors to partition walls and so much more.
Visitors are then given a further hand. The website is now not only integrated with NBS Source but also offers its own FREE Specification Tool. After providing some key information, users will be presented with tailored options to fit their unique needs.
If inspiration is a problem, Lignacite.co.uk can now show the way with its impressive Project Map. Packed with hundreds of projects, from residential developments to landmark commercial buildings, the map showcases just what these top-quality, sustainable blocks can achieve.
Essential information at hand
Once the right units have been found, visitors can drill down into the key details with refreshed product pages.
Simple to navigate, each page features clearly highlighted tabs that allow visitors to instantly locate the information they need, including fire ratings, sound properties and sustainability credentials. Building a picture of each block’s benefits has never been easier.
The information can then be saved for future reference, thanks to new downloadable datasheets. Clean, clear and concise, the format of each PDF has been designed to be easy to digest and understand.
Plus, the site is home to a wealth of information about Lignacite’s delivery and collection services, sustainability practices and accreditations, all of which keep the company at the forefront of block manufacturing.
That’s in addition to a new page dedicated to the development of its state-of-the-art factory in Brandon, detailing every stage of the building process and the benefits customers can expect once it’s complete.
Giles de Lotbiniere, Chairman at Lignacite, comments: “This new website is a great step forward for Lignacite. Its modern design and ease of use showcases our innovative and trusted product range while helping our customers to find the right block for their next build.
