The GMW115 incorporates the Vaisala CARBOCAP® Sensor, a silicon based NDIR sensor. It has a stable reference provided by an electrically tunable Fabry-Perot Interferometer (FPI), where not only the CO2 absorption is measured but also a reference wavelength. This type of a reference is a unique feature in the CO2 transmitters on the HVAC market.
