Brick and Sustainability Seminar

Following the publication of its sustainability agenda in ‘Brick: Building a Sustainable Resource for the Future, the Brick Development Association is holding a one day seminar on Thursday 15th March 2012 at the Building Centre, Store Street, London, to promote the key sustainable attributes of using brick in the built environment.

The seminar will dispel any misconceptions about using brick including cost, durability and environmental issues and why brick ticks all the boxes as a natural building material. The content will cover:

  • An overview of the Brick Industry – history and future
  • Historic brickwork and good practice
  • Historic development to the built environment
  • New technologies and innovation within the Industry
  • The sustainability credentials of brick and current policies surrounding the Industry
