AHU Evaporative Cooling CPD
Story
Dave Marshall-George, UK Sales Director, comments, “A single adiabatic humidifier can provide up to 680kW of evaporative cooling to an AHU from as little as 0.3kW of consumed electrical energy. Their potential for delivering low energy cooling to an air handling unit is great and we frequently see this application being employed in modern AHU designs. This CPD is an invaluable chance for consultants and building designers to explore how humidifiers can be used in AHUs to take advantage of this low energy cooling method. The case studies detailed in the session provide a clear understanding, beyond the theory and physics, of the actual energy savings that can be enjoyed.”
The seminar has been developed specifically for mechanical engineers and consultants. The presentation has been CIBSE-approved, therefore verified to be unbiased, up-to-date and technically accurate. All attendees will receive CIBSE points towards their continuous professional development (CPD) record.
The presentation can be given in-house at a recipient’s office, typically over a lunch period with refreshments supplied by Condair, or online via a webinar platform. Bookings can be requested at www.condair.co.uk/CPD.

Bradite One Can’s Sister Act
Story
It has already proved it can tackle almost any industrial surface, but now Bradite One Can has conquered the art world too, thanks to the skills of two award-winning designers and muralists from Hampshire.
2SistersUK is run by Lauren and Chloe Piper, who burst onto the design scene several years ago with their vibrant brand of painted artwork and hand lettering. Based in Waterlooville, their client portfolio now includes clothing company Fat Face, Hilton Hotels, Dior and Boots.
The latest of these, a Mexican styled eatery called ‘Bonitas’ at Southsea, Portsmouth, wanted something wonderfully bright to add impact to their outdoor seating area. “They are a very trendy, ‘Instagrammable’ restaurant, so they wanted something for people to take selfies in front of and post online” says Chloe.
The sisters were recommended Bradite One Can while searching for something that would work on all surfaces and prove highly durable.
“We were blown away by the quality of Bradite paints and are really excited to find such a good quality paint that can be mixed to so many different colours,” Chloe explains.
“We paint artwork and murals for clients on so many different surfaces and in so many different colours, and we always have the headache of finding suitable paints that come in the correct colours. With Bradite we no longer have that problem! It’s super easy to use, flows nicely, and doesn’t smell as strong as most exterior paints.”
2Sisters began painting in their garden, creating wooden signs and selling them on eBay or at markets. This developed into graphic design and making prints to sell on Etsy, with their first request for a mural coming about seven years ago.
“We had no idea what we were doing,” admits Chloe, “but took on the job anyway thinking we could just wing it. We enjoyed painting so much that we started researching how we could do this all properly.”
They discovered that a huge market already existed in the USA and was yet to reach the UK, so they started pitching to companies locally and things took off.
Now with the trusty Bradite One Can in their stock of materials, they add: “We’re so excited to use it again.”
