Building upon the success of its most environmentally friendly range of paints, Ecosure, Dulux Trade has reformulated its matt formulation to make it even more sustainable.
This new formulation of Ecosure Matt has virtually no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) or solvents*, offering specifiers a chance to boost their sustainability credentials even further, while ensuring that quality, colour and finish are not compromised.
In addition to providing the high opacity and spreading rates expected from Dulux Trade, Ecosure Matt is available in the full Dulux Trade range of over 10,000 colours, as well as British Standard BS4800 and RAL classics. Ecosure Matt is also available in the Light & Space colour range, enabling specifiers to make energy savings as well.
The sustainability credentials of Ecosure Matt were measured during development using the Environmental Impact Analyser, a cradle to factory gate analytical tool produced in conjunction with leading sustainability charity Forum for the Future. The results confirmed that the new Ecosure Matt formulation now contains 35 per cent lower embodied carbon, fewer VOCs and less solvent content than standard Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt.
Like the other products in the Ecosure range, this new formulation is packaged in cans manufactured with a minimum of 25 per cent recycled materials and builds upon the work Dulux Trade undertook with Forum for the Future, during the groundbreaking development of Ecosure.
All paints in the Ecosure range, including Matt, Gloss & Undercoat and Eggshell, are listed on the One Planet Products website.
