Leading electrical wholesaler Newey & Eyre has launched its new 2015 Newlec catalogue which is packed full of innovative new solutions.
Among the new product additions to the catalogue are enhancements to the lighting range, including new dimmable luminaires which come with DALI dimmable control gear and an extended range of LED emergency luminaires. In response to ever increasing demand, T5 & T8 tubes offering low wattage, long life and high lumen output have also been added to the catalogue.
Following changes to Parts B, C and E of the Building Regulations, the fire rated downlighter GU10 can and lamp holder has also been updated and is now fully enclosed, making it one of the first of its kind to meet the requirements of the legislation.
The Newlec heating and ventilation range now includes all purpose continuous running fans, which are available in either axial or filterless centrifugal versions and offer energy efficiency, the flexibility to be installed in any room and are virtually silent running. There have also been improvements in the traditional intermittent fan range with 4” low profile fans now available with a stylish new front grille, as well as a quiet version, which has one of the lowest decibel levels on the market for an intermittent fan.
The new energy efficient storage heaters offer potential savings of over 30% against traditional manual versions, while the electric radiators offer individual room-by-room central heating control to suit the user’s requirement at a lower cost than many other forms of traditional installed electric heating.
The range of fire and security products has also been expanded with new thermally enhanced optical alarms which can be used in place of either ionisation and/or optical alarms, in addition to two wire fire alarm systems which benefit from multipoint scatter sensor. Furthermore, the new edition sees the introduction of an IP68 rated keypad for access control which is heavy duty, vandal resistant and completely waterproof.
The new catalogue also features a RG6 Shotgun twin satellite cable to enable faster installation than traditional types and new gel connector covers, offering a fully weatherproof connection which is fully submersible to high depths.
Following an increase in requests, a double switched socket with twin USB has been added for charging iPads, iPhones and other devices.
To meet the demands of modern data installation requirements the data accessories range has been significantly enhanced to provide a more comprehensive off-the shelf offer. It now includes fully assembled wall mounted data cabinets with adjustable 19″ profiles and lockable glass front doors. The 16 port Cat5e and Cat6 Rear Punch IDC patch panels have been replaced by 24 port models. We‘ve added high quality moulded Cat5e patch leads for data, voice and ISDN patching. Made from 100% stranded copper core, they are also suitable for power over Ethernet.
Due to popular demand, the tool range has also been expanded to include SDS chisels, step and cone drills, cable cutters and jigsaw blades, in addition to two new first aid kits to the PPE range, and a range of screws, plugs and fixings in durable, re-sealable tubs with carry handles.
The catalogue also includes cable marker kits, as well as a new extended range of enclosures which now covers clear lid IP55, high lid IP55 and larger GRP and steel units.
