Sabien wins Virgin Media contract

Story

Sabien is pleased to announce it has been awarded an initial contract by Virgin Media, the UK’s leading entertainment and communications company, worth £89,000 to install its M2G technology in a number of its offices in the UK. Further orders are expected over the current financial year.

Alan O’Brien, Chief Executive Officer, said: “Over the last year we’ve worked closely with Virgin Media and its consultants assisting them in preparing an investment proposal for the installation of our M2G and M3G technologies across the Virgin Media estate. In 2007 Virgin Media began work with the Carbon Trust on their 'Cut the Carbon' programme to define the company’s carbon footprint accurately and to investigate ways to reduce it.

As a result of this initiative Virgin Media have targeted to reduce their carbon footprint by 15% of their 2007 baseline year (313,522 tonnes of CO2) by 2015. On the back of this analysis an initial order has been placed with Sabien for its M2G technology with further orders expected over the current financial year. The fact that Virgin Media, a major UK brand, has chosen M2G is another tangible indicator that Sabien is fast becoming the supplier of choice for energy efficiency technology
