Urbis Turns a Dublin Canal Bridge into a Beacon of Light

Story

La Touché BridgeThe La Touché Bridge in the Portobello area of Dublin, spans the famous Grand Canal. The council refurbished the two original cast twisted columns lighting the bridge deck. Urbis then supplied two of their Albany lanterns with micro-reflectors.

To create a focal point, Urbis floodlit the underside of the bridge using four carefully positioned Neos floodlights.

This scheme is part of a large project for both of Dublin’s canals, the walkways are now lit with Urbis’ Albany lanterns. These are mounted on plain columns and Stirrup brackets, and are fitted with 150W CDM-T lamps. They provide a white light source that make the pathways feel safer at night.
